SIGN-IN
Sign-in will start at 7:30 am on Sunday ,Oct. 18. You will pick up your swim cap, goodie bag and lunch bracelet at sign-in. Swimmers will also get a number and be body marked at sign-in.
SAFETY RULES- MANDATORY MEETING
Mandatory meeting is at 8:45 AM*. Look for the flags down on the beach by the jetty. Safety services are provided by the Santa Cruz City Beach Lifeguard Service and Santa Cruz Surf Life Saving Association. All contestants are required to wear a brightly colored swim cap. Caps will be provided. Cut-off time for both distances is 1 hour 30 minutes. No personal escorts are permitted. Insulated swim caps permitted (but must wear assigned color cap on top), no other swim aids allowed. The expected water temperature is 60 degrees, wetsuits are permitted.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
EQUIPMENT
Use of fins, pull buoys, gloves or other swimming devices is prohibited. For beginners and advanced swimmers, wetsuits are recommended but not required to help adjust to the water’s temperature and can improve buoyancy.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may request a full refund up to 30 days before the event. After that, a 50% refund of your registration fee (excluding Humanitix fees) will be available until October 1st, 2026. No refunds will be issued after October 1st, 2026.
